About us

The beginning of 2024 my husband of thirty-six years left this world and his earthly body. As I navigate through this time of grief and sadness, I try to surround myself with love, beauty and joy. Love for myself and those around me, beauty in my surroundings and the amazing Mojave Desert that I have called home for over fifty years and joy; joy of family, friends and things I love like journaling, meditation, candles and crystals.

It seems when we lose someone we love, we spend our time reflecting on the memories, conversations and things that made us smile in the moment. That being said, my husband was a quote enthusiast, if you were having a bad day or needed advice, he would share something he heard, read or just made up. One favorite was, "it's a good day for this, it's a good day for that." When our daughter had surgery, she heard "today is a good day to get rid of cancer" when our other daughter delivered our first grandson she heard "today is a good day to have a baby." So, as I remember, honor and continue to love the man I miss so much, I wanted to share his love of sayings, quotes, thoughts and good wishes with others. Hopefully they will remind us not to wish away the days, even on the hard ones and through love, living, stress and even grief, life can be beautiful if your light is bright enough to shine and share with others.

My family and I have gathered some of his and our favorite quotes, we then combined them with a beautiful hand poured 100% soy wax candle and sprinkled it with crystals to remind us that even in darkness we can see beauty and shine bright.
